Welcome to the
Friends of the Joshua Tree Library's
web site!

Friends of the Joshua Tree Library fosters support by the community for the library, such as promoting reading incentives for children and providing library programs, materials and services that the county does not have the funds to provide.

To those who wish to help us in this endeavor, we invite you to become a member. Please remember that when you help the library, you are really helping everyone in the community.

Please watch our "Events Page" for announcements of ongoing events, fundraisers, and other special interest happenings.

  • Gallery Art Display System at the Joshua Tree Library

Moving ahead... an exciting new chapter is opening at the Joshua Tree Library! In January the Friends of the Joshua Tree Library purchased and arranged for the installation of a gallery art display system. This system allows for on-going and changing art displays to be exhibited at the library.

With help from Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council President Scott Monteith and Operations Director Andy Woods our first art display is in place at the library. To see the
exhibit Click Here or click on the "Exhibit" tab in the Nav Bar.

The Arts Council will be coordinating with our Friends Secretary and Board "art aficionado" Professor Marjorie Franklin to bring future displays and art talks with the artists!
